AQUÄDUKT

Aquädukt (en.: Aqueduct) was a long-term visual research project exploring use of water as a global resource and source of profit. The project context included attempts to privatize the water supply, the marketing of bottled water, water pollution and glacial melting. The presentation at Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen was dedicated on the one hand to the bottled water industry with Coca-Cola’s corporate politics as an example, but also provided a visual comparison of different “water centers” (Berlin, Borsec/RO, Bucharest, Savannah/USA etc.).

Rolf PILARSKY (*1967) studied fine arts at the University of the Arts, Berlin (1988-94) and philosophy, German and literature at the Free University of Berlin (1987-95). He has been exhibiting since 1991.
