To fail – an approach

Sujet by David Payr

On April 21st 2018, Kulturkollektiv Contrapunkt invites you “to fail” at Büchsenhausen.
Contrapunkt writes: ,Beneath the surface of post-modern life, the structure of failing is always present. Failure is socially constructed on the one hand, but it is also a deeply human affair in itself. In addition, the current neoliberal zeitgeist influences how we think about and perceive the concept of failing. Making mistakes even underlies the dictate of optimization now. It influences our very existence and structures our everyday lives. Together, we are going to try to shed light on this topic and dig a little deeper.’

On the basis of lectures, readings, performances, discussions and a concert we are going to approach the topic of failing from various perspectives.
Our guests, including philosopher Guillaume Paoli, cultural scientist Silke Meyer, and artist and Büchsenhausen-Fellow belit sağ, are going to approach the topic of failing from a philosophical and an artistic point of view, as well as from a cultural studies perspective.
You are cordially invited to a collective reflection!
