On January 12, 2010, Laurie Cohen (historian) and Madeleine Bernstorff (film curator) had a talk at Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen about anti-war political initiatives from the twentieth century and their female protagonists. The discussion focused also on topics like (stateless) mobility, networking, war, and exile. The broadcast renders extracts of the talk which took place in the frame of the research project “Suffragettes in Movies” by Madeleine Bernstorff.

Madeleine BERNSTORFF (*1956) is a Berlin-based film curator, author, super-8 filmmaker and lecturer. Her works deal, among other things, with the representation of suffragettes in film. Madeleine Bernstorff is a co-founder of Kino Sputnik in Berlin Wedding.
