Alpine Stages and Touristic Theme Parks
Michael Hieslmair toured the cable car valley with drawings, central and mountain stations, supported by annotated excerpts from the video Weltcuparena (en.: World Cup Arena) by Markus Scherer. In this two-channel projection, a performer strides through the underground ski area in Zauchensee with a video camera, while the area becomes a “stage” for the utensils that were brought along.
Michael HIESLMAIR lebt und arbeitet als Künstler in Wien. Architekturstudium in Graz und Delft. Er arbeitet individuell und in Gruppenzusammenhängen an Projekten und Ausstellungen über die Einflüsse von Mobilität auf Architektur und Landschaftsgestaltung sowie zum Kulturtransfer in sozialräumlichen Transformationsprozessen.
