Between 1991 and 1993, eight people lived in a monumental glass house in the desert of Arizona. The closed ecosystem of Biosphere 2 supplied the crew with oxygen and food and was designed as a test set-up for future outer space colonies. Taking the form of a reading from a science fiction novel, the performance approaches the forgotten project.
