Ilona Rainer-Pranter

Ilona Rainer-Pranter was born in Lienz in 1986. From 2002 to 2006 she attended the Technical College for Applied Painting (Fachhochschule für angewandte Malerei) in Innsbruck. In 2011, she began her studies in Painting and Graphic Art at the University of Art and Design Linz, during which time she completed an Erasmus semester at the Metropolitan University in Cardiff, Wales.
She presented her diploma project entitled Anorak in October 2016. In 2019, the province of Tyrol gave her the opportunity to spend a month working in the studio in Paliano, Italy. The artist has lived in Vienna since 2016, where, in addition to her own artistic work, she also runs the artist collective mariamaria with the painter Eva Eichinger.
